Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 8, 2026 · Applies to: budgiminar.top (the “Site”) and the services of Budgiminar, Inc. (“Budgiminar,” “we,” “us”)

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site, register for a webinar, contact us, or purchase access to our sessions, how we use that information, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain language on purpose: privacy should not require a law degree.

1. Who we are

Budgiminar, Inc. is an education company incorporated in the State of Illinois, with its office at Suite 210, 1776 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, IL 60647, United States. We operate the Site and provide live online budgeting webinars and related educational materials. Our email is [email protected].

2. Information we collect

Information you give us directly. When you use the contact form, reserve a seat, purchase a plan, or email us, we receive the details you provide: your name, email address, phone number (if you share it), the topic of your inquiry, and the content of your message. If you complete a purchase, payment details are processed by our payment processor and are not stored on our servers.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we receive basic technical data when you visit: your browser type, device type, approximate region, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. This comes from cookies and similar technologies, described in our Cookie Policy. We use this data in aggregated form to understand how visitors use the Site and to keep it working properly.

Information from sessions. When you attend a live session, we keep a record of your registration and attendance so we can send the workbook and replay link. We record the host's screen and voice for replays; participant video and audio are never recorded.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes: (a) to respond to your messages and questions; (b) to process reservations and provide access to sessions, workbooks, and replays; (c) to send administrative emails such as confirmations, reminders, and policy updates; (d) to improve the Site and our curriculum; (e) to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents; and (f) to comply with legal obligations. We do not use your information for advertising profiling, and we do not sell personal information.

4. Legal bases (for users in applicable jurisdictions)

We process personal information on the basis of: your consent, where you have given it (for example, when you agree to receive emails); the performance of a contract with you (for example, providing a session you purchased); our legitimate interests in operating and improving an educational service; and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate: our web hosting provider, our email provider, our video session provider, and our payment processor. These providers receive only the information needed to perform their task and are contractually required to protect it. We may also disclose information where required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Budgiminar, our learners, or the public.

6. Your California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act give you specific rights regarding your personal information, including the right to: (a) know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; (b) request deletion of your personal information; (c) correct inaccurate personal information; (d) opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information, so no opt-out is needed; and (e) be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] or write to us at the address above. We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by law. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

7. Data retention

We keep contact messages for up to 24 months after the last interaction, registration records for as long as needed to provide replays and support, and billing records for the period required by tax and accounting law. Aggregated analytics that cannot identify you may be kept longer.

8. Children's privacy (COPPA)

The Site and our sessions are directed to adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and least-privilege staff access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond quickly if a problem ever occurs.

10. International visitors

The Site is operated from the United States and intended for learners in the United States. If you access it from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

11. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party websites or services (for example, a video platform). Those services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to read them. We are not responsible for the practices of third parties.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify registered learners by email. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.

13. Contact us
